This month, I’m all about beauty products!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! How was your break? Even though I worked most of mine, it was still so nice to be back home for a couple of days.

I hope you enjoy my list this month, as well as all of the food, family, and friends that the transition to winter has to offer.

Favorites

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Product: Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water – Ulta

This miracle product is for all of us lazy girls out there. My roommate has this cleansing water and after seeing her use it, I had to get my own. It’s better than makeup wipes for those late nights when you don’t have the energy to wash your face.

To use this, I just pour some of the solution onto a cotton pad and gently wipe my face, and all my makeup melts away. It even works on waterproof eye makeup! I love how when you wipe it off, you can see all the dirt you’ve removed – so satisfying.

P.S. This water comes in two formulations – a pink bottle and a blue bottle. I use and recommend the blue one, which works on waterproof makeup. (The pink one is only for normal makeup.)

Dove Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo

Product: Dove Refresh + Care Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo – Amazon

I have extremely fine hair, so between tennis practice, workouts, and class, I used to wash it every day. I don’t know about you all, but as I go further into the semester, it’s like I have less and less time on my hands! So I got on the dry shampoo train (I know, I’m late) and it changed my life.

I now only wash my hair every two days (which is supposed to be better for your hair anyway). On the days that I don’t wash my hair, I use this Dove dry shampoo.

Not only does this product smell realllyyy nice while being well priced, but it also gives my hair volume, too! Other dry shampoos I’ve tried made my hair limp, but with this one, my hair looks fresh and volumized after just a few sprays! #gamechanger

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation

Product: Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation – Sephora

I’m sure you’ve read reviews for this product before, so let me add another voice to the choir: This stuff is amazing

Now, the first thing you’ll notice is that this foundation is on the pricier side at $50, but I can tell you right now that it’s worth it. To me, if something is going to be in my pores all day, I want it to be higher quality. Additionally, you don’t need much of this product to cover flaws, so it lasts a long time.

This foundation, unlike so many others I’ve tried, looks completely natural even though it’s liquid. Some liquid foundations end up being cakey on me, but not this one. Also, I’m a cocktail waitress, so I run around a lot and get all hot and sweaty. Even with my hectic job, my makeup stays flawless.

I have combination skin, but you won’t see me glisten during a marathon with this magic potion. I don’t even use concealer when I wear this foundation as the coverage is great on its own.

Go to your local Sephora and test this baby out. I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do!

Gratitude Journal

As I told all of you in my previous article, 5 Little Ways to Give Thanks Every Day, I recently started keeping a gratitude journal. After starting it, my morning routine has been forever changed. I cannot start my day until I write down at least a couple of things I am thankful for in this journal.

I immediately feel energetic, thankful, and happy after I finish writing. And the best part? It takes me no more than five minutes.

Try it yourself. I promise, you will see some kind of positive effect.

Song: “I Got You” by Bebe Rhexa

I don’t know why, but I have been really into shiny pop music lately. That’s usually not my genre of choice, but this song in particular has me hooked – it is so catchy!

Bebe Rhexa is a rising star, and this song is her best. It makes me feel sexy and powerful, puts me in a great mood, and makes me want to dance. It’s my new go-to track for nights out. Love it!

Movie I Want to See: Before I Fall

I remember reading this book years ago, so I’m super excited to see it come to life on screen in 2017!

Now I won’t spoil anything, but basically the plot is as follows: A girl gets into a car crash, and she wakes up having to relive the same day over and over again. Each day, she tries to change the outcome and grows as a person in the process.

If you haven’t heard of this movie, I highly recommend you check out the trailer above. I can’t wait to see it in theaters!

Leather Wrap Choker

Product: Leather Wrap Choker – Etsy

Chokers have been the hot trend in jewelry since the springtime, but these wrapped ones are a chic, upgraded take on the fad.

I love regular chokers, and I have a few myself, but this style is my favorite as it adds a lot more detail. I’ve been wearing my wrapped one constantly as of late.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette By Mario

Product: Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario – Macy’s

Is limited edition status reason enough to buy this palette? (I love a good limited edition product!)

If that isn’t enough of an excuse, I know another good reason to snap this one up: Mario Dedivanovic, a celebrity makeup artist known for his work with the Kardashians, created this palette. The colors are versatile and oh so pretty.

Of course, it’s sold out everywhere right now, but I’ll be trolling eBay and praying it gets restocked – sigh!
